How Does It Work?

How Does It Work?

Does it seem like magic? Well, that's almost true. Light from LCD screens has certain characteristics that make it different from other light, such as direct sunlight and reflections from other surfaces. The trick is to allow the light through from the laptop, but at the same time make the lenses block the light from everything else. When the maximum amount of light from the laptop reaches the eyes, the eyes adjust and the LCD screen appears much brighter than the surroundings.

Glarewear sunglasses use a special kind of polarized lens that has been designed to allow all the light from your laptop, yet still block the majority of light that comes from everywhere else.

One of the key features of light from laptops is that it's polarized. However, it's not enough to wear regular polarized sunglasses since they're typically adjusted to surface glare and not to laptops. The three sets of lenses that are included in the Glarewaer package are specialized for the three most common variations of laptop screen.

To select the correct lens, you simply hold them in front of the screen and pick the one that works best for you. You can easily see which one lets most light through from the laptop and it's also very easy to switch lenses in the frames - just grab the lens, remove it and insert the one you want to use.
